No. Sleep paralysis is a phenomenon in which people, either when falling asleep or wakening, temporarily experience an inability to move (being paralyzed). More formally, it is a transition state between wakefulness and rest characterized by complete muscle atonia (muscle weakness). It can occur at sleep onset or upon awakening, and it is often associated with terrifying visions (e.g. an intruder in the room), to which one is unable to react due to paralysis. It is believed a result of disrupted REM sleep, which is normally characterized by complete muscle atonia that prevents individuals from acting out their dreams. Sleep paralysis has been linked to disorders such as narcolepsy, migraines, anxiety disorders, and obstructive sleep apnea; however, it can also occur in isolation.[1][2] When linked to another disorder, sleep paralysis commonly occurs in association with the neurological sleep disorder narcolepsy.[2] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis

Ya know, wikipedia is good for some things, but it only offered a basic definition of sleep paralysis. It doesn't offer the spiritual or metaphysical definitions. Either way, I am glad you have posted this.
Yes, I have experienced that and recently, too. I'll wake up and I am waiting for the rest of my body to move. Except when this is happening I am getting vibrations on my body. It's so strange.

yyyyyeeessss!!! I hear a lot of the ringing in my ears. And I will see orbs, too. Yea, they probably are trying to communicate. Also, one of my spiritual friends said that could be the elf waves, too. He said that's the low level energy they keep pumping out to ppl.

Oh yea, one time about two weeks ago, I was fighting to move. I felt like I was going to be lifted up some place. The next time, I told myself I would let it happen. Something did happen. I felt like I was being lifted up spiritually like I was about to astral project. Then I started hearing whispers.

Ringing in the ears while In the sleep paralysis state is common it's basically your body adjusting to or trying to match the vibrational frequency used in Astral Projection I wouldn't say it's directly your spirits in that state. . But in my case I hear frequency changes every day while awoke and I know for a fact it's my spirits but this always comes with cold spots and electric like touches on my face and neck...

Anyway, I don't hear the voices being very loud, but clear. I know I have a habit of laughing in my sleep and sometimes talking, too. When I was with my now ex-boyfriend, I would sleep with him almost every night. He would wake up wondering why I was laughing so much and he would ask me who is so and so. He would bring up names of people I don't even know. At times, he thought I was sleeping with someone else because of how I would be saying a person's name. LOL LOL. Also, that's amazing that you would see your room in a different way. I somehow activated a new mirror that I bought and decided to meditate into the mirror. When I do that, I don't see my face and I see someone else's. Then my room would start too look different. I heard it's called mirror magic. Have any of you done this?
