i've read that you shouldn't have spirits bound to your body as they are really bound to your soul or something. to me that doesn't make much sense. which is the best way to go about this?

There's 3 ways a conjuror can bind a spirit to you.
1# a vessel binding, which can be almost anything, but most use jewelry or gemstones or figurines.
2# the body binding which is more convenient when having many spirit's bound, please understand that a body binding is NOT a soul binding, there mostly bound to your aura/auric field.
3# the soul binding, which rarely ever gets preformed.
ajunktad, you go with what you feel comfortable with!.
I would talk to the seller and ask all questions that you feel you need to know!.

Yeah body binding are not the same as soul binding. Binding a spirit to your body should never be mistaken for soul binding. Your body & your soul are two very different things. Binding to body /spirit means binding to your essence, the field of energy that comprises your unique spirit, which some believe is split into pieces & reincarnated, while your soul moves on to whatever you believe is your version of Heaven. If someone tells you Binding to body/Spirit means soul binding you can tell them they are ignorant of the facts. Having a spirit bound to your body/spirit is typically not noticeable in any way to you in terms of feeling like there is something extra inside you or experiencing anything out of the ordinary with your physical body. Most don’t even experience anything they would not experience by having a vessel instead.

Darksoul is right based on my understanding of how spirits can be bound. I've asked Luke about this in the past and he told me that he never soul-binds spirits because that often will overwhelm the master and can cause all sorts of issues. Body bindings and vessel binds are how I like for my spirits to be bound. I have my Master spirits bound to my bodies and the lower level spirits bound to vessel as I like for there to be a separation between the two.
If you are very sensitive I would get your spirits bound to a vessel and if you can handle powerful energies get them bound to your body. After Luke binds my Master Spirits I am generally in energy overload for a week straight until I become use to it.
Most people that I know who are clients of Luke's have their spirits bound to the body because of the sensations they feel and the experiences that they have.

I personally prefer having the spirit bound to all three of my bodies (astral, physical and spiritual) instead of having a spirit bound to a vessel. My main concern is losing the vessel and constant up keep of the vessel (having to charge it etc...). Having a spirit bound to ones' bodies shortens the bonding time, and increases sensation and communication between the master and the spirit. Plus the spirit is always with you 24/7. The only downside is the adjustment period (your body getting used to the new influx of energy); typical symptoms for me during an adjustment period are: episodic headaches, mood swings, exhaustion, fatigue, episodic dizziness, inability to sleep, and hyperactive behavior. This could last a couple hours or a couple days depending upon the energy level of the spirit being bound to all three bodies.

So, when our body dies, what happens to the bond of our spirits? I am considering trying this out, but I am still a little apprehensive.

Most sellers I know allow the spirits to move(become free) on once you die..but they can also allow the spirit to stay bind to an object if you would like it to be passed on to a family member or friend once you die.
