The first and best thing to do to increase your self-awareness and connection to the divine light is to say YES. From the words of Sai Maa; “Say Yes to Life.” Always remember that what you focus on expands so in this way it is so simple. Set the conscious intention every day to develop your spirituality. In this article you will learn or revisit 10 ways to develop your spirituality and this all begins by saying yes and setting a conscious intention to focus on this inner growth and alignment to the divine.
10 ways to develop your spirituality ►
1) Focus on connecting with God
2) Prayer, Meditation, & Contemplation
3) Develop a lens of love and immediate forgiveness in every moment
4) Let your heart be your guide
5) Breathe in the love and light of God and the Universe
6) Music that uplifts and moves you – song & dance
7) Daily affirmations on appreciation and abundance
8) Conscious and open relationships
9) Interaction with nature; sunshine
10) Yoga, Tai Chi, Chi-Gong, Aerobics, Sports, Exercise
Spiritual acts such as prayer and meditation have extremely powerful effects mentally, physically, neurologically, and physiologically. Prayer and meditation relax your mind; when your mind is relaxed your emotional and physical states become relaxed. Through prayer and meditation you connect with peace, harmony, balance, love, and happiness which cannot occur simultaneously with tension, anxiety, stress, and negative emotion. The very nature of relaxation is peace and tranquility. This relaxed state allows you to listen to your heart and connect with your inner guidance system, and for many Source energy and/or God. During relaxed states your mind and body can heal, restore, and rejuvenate.
Prayer and meditation increase overall brain activity and functioning. These states of relaxation allow your brain to restore and build new connection. Hence, prayer and meditation strengthen brain power which increases your ability to take control of your reality. It is suggested that you find time and space daily to quiet your mind to restore, rebuild, connect, and manifest.
There are infinite ways to be spiritual; spirituality is everywhere and in everything. You just have the option whether or not to embrace this love, peace, and energy and flow with it or to ignore it and struggle through life alone. One of my favorite metaphors came from Wayne Dyer and compares a light bulb and electricity to humans and spirituality. Non-spiritual beings are like a light bulb trying to shine its light without electricity. After years of struggling the light bulb gives in and discovers it was created as a vehicle for electricity to shine and nothing more. Dyer compares this to humans who are here to shine God’s love, light, and purpose.
Blessings.
